A beautiful morning for community, women in business and collaboration of creatives for the self proclaimed “marriage” of local fine artist Dev Heyrana and Subikksha Balaje, founder of Goldstories eco-luxury fine jewelry brand. Together Dev and Subikksha curated incredible, timeless heirloom poppy pendants for their Flora Sagrada collection. As beautiful as the cups of Cardamom Rose Lattes crafted and served by female owned Tarocco- a Barcelona inspired event space celebrating co-creation and collaboration; the tone was just getting started for the experience we would all embark on in celebrating a collection that was inspired by little hands picking flowers- in the words of Dev Heyrana.

In a room full of beautiful, successful and festively dressed female entrepreneurs the energy would be unmatched for the next 2 hours. We sipped artisanal coffee, sampled hand-painted and crafted luxury chocolate by Deux Cranes- a chocolate shop rooted in Japan and inspired by France, which satisfied my sweet tooth beyond expectations. I found myself feeling like a kid again eating chocolate for breakfast with no regard.

When I wasn’t chatting over the common question of “what do you do?” while exchanging social media handles (because there’s unity in sisterhood) I was experiencing the incredible vibes brought together by a splendid and diverse mix of beautiful woman led-small business owners that helped bring this amazing event together.
The best part of partnership is knowing that there’s always room to give back. And that was the highlight of this remarkable day- giving back through the gift of diapers to non-profit partner, Help A Mother Out. Help A Mother Out mission is simple: Improve baby and family well being by getting diapers to families in need. As one of the many mompreneurs in the room, I sure we can all agree how heartfelt and willing we all were to supply a wagon full of diapers to a great cause.

As if the morning couldn’t be any more delightful, after receiving our customized signature Goldstories sweatshirt with chain-stitching by Kambric Goods Studios, (ours read HENRY: High Earners Not Rich Yet, a shameless plug) we had the pleasure of Dev and Subikksha sharing their inspiring childhood stories and inspiration behind their collection: The Flora Sagrada Medallion, the Mini Flora Sagrada Medallion Pendant which to our surprise, we each were gifted, (talk about bragging rights) and the Poppy Boob Pendant.

Their passion, creativity and warmth made flying in on a 6am flight worth the connections made, experience felt and new found brand appreciation for Goldstories.- more than a luxury fine jewelry brand inspired by heritage but a celebration of the beauty of everyday.
